PSLV-C11 Successfully Launches Chandrayaan-1...GO INDIA GO
Indian scientist finally launched their MOON MISSION. A proud moment for every indian, i must add :D
In its fourteenth flight conducted from Satish Dhawan Space Centre (SDSC) SHAR, Sriharikota this morning (October 22, 2008), the Indian Space Research Organisation’s (ISRO’s) Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle, PSLV-C11, successfully launched the 1380 kg Chandrayaan-1 spacecraft into a transfer orbit with a perigee (nearest point to Earth) of 255 km and an apogee (farthest point to Earth) of 22,860 km, inclined at an angle of 17.9 deg to the equator.
After a 52 hour count down, PSLV-C11 lifted off from the Second Launch Pad at SDSC SHAR at 06:22 Hrs Indian Standard Time (IST) with the ignition of the core first stage. The important flight events included the separation of the first stage, ignition of the second stage, separation of the payload fairing at about 116 km altitude after the vehicle had cleared the dense atmosphere, second stage separation, third stage ignition, third stage separation, fourth stage ignition and fourth stage cut-off.

DO NOT BUY WOODEN COMPUTER OR PHONE
Recent times has seen a slew of electronic products (specially computers and phones) made from wood. They are being hailed as "Eco-friendly" and "Non-toxic" products that will solve the problem of toxic waste that is being created by today's electronics. If u have no idea what i am talking about then u should see following pics:

Above images are taken from : http://www.geekologie.com/2007/06/wooden_pc_peripherals.php
Similarly, checkout these links:
1) http://suissacomputers.com/
2) asus-wooden-laptop-kills-trees-and-reason-with-a-single-swin
Now you know what i am talking about. ok, back to discussion. these so called eco friendly computers and mobiles are trying to woo consumers who thinks that by buying these products, they are saving the environment.
IMO these products are ACTUALLY HARMING THE ENVIRONMENT because these products are manufactured using well you guessed it - WOOD and in order to get wood, you have to cut trees which are the backbone of our environment. So, by making these devices they think that they are helping the environment but in reality, they are actually HARMING the environment. Whats the point to producing these devices when you have to cut trees to produce it. Toxic waste can be eliminated by other means but when a tree is gone, ITS GONE like forever.
So people plz dont buy these products as you will be harming the environment instead of protecting it. If you disagree with me then prove yourself and you agree with me then show some support :)
And if you are still hell-bent to spend your hard earned money (or your father's ;) on these stupid devices, then you have two options:
1) Consider buying one of these optimus primus its a keyboard price @ Rs. 78400 or $1,877 (no, its not a typo). If you want more proof then head over to engadget
2) Donate your money to me (Recommended Option) I will return it to you with interest once you die :P
BTW comments are alwayz welcome.

Husband Store - another hilarious joke :)
A store that sells husbands has just opened in
Philadelphia, where a woman may go to choose a
husband. Among the instructions at the entrance is a
description of how the store operates. It reads: You
may visit the store ONLY ONCE!
There are six floors and the attributes of the men
increase as the shopper ascends the flights. There
is, however, a catch . . .. you may choose any man
from a particular floor, or you may choose to go up
a floor, but you cannot go back down except to exit
the building! So, a woman goes to the Husband Store
to find a husband
On the first floor the sign on the door reads:
Floor 1 - These men have jobs and love the Lord.
Floor 2 - These men have jobs, love the Lord, and
love kids.
Floor 3 - These men have jobs, love the Lord, love
kids, and are extremely good looking.
"Wow," she thinks, but feels compelled to keep
going.
She goes to the fourth floor and sign reads:
Floor 4 - These men have jobs, love the Lord, love
kids, are drop-dead good looking and help with the
housework.
"Oh, mercy me!" she exclaims, "I can hardly stand
it!" Still, she goes to the fifth floor and sign
reads:
Floor 5 - These men have jobs, love the Lord, love
kids, are drop-dead gorgeous, help with the
housework, and have a strong romantic streak.
She is so tempted to stay, but she goes to the
sixth floor and the sign reads:
Floor 6 - You are visitor 9,363,012 to this floor.
There are no men on this floor. This floor exists
solely as proof that women are impossible to please.
Thank you for shopping at the Husband Store. Watch
your step as you exit the building, and have a nice
day!
Please send this to all men for a good laugh and
to all the women who can handle the truth!
write a comment if u disagree :)

Make all textboxes readonly/disabled using javascript.
here is the quickest way to make all textboxes read only using javascript :) just copy-paste the code below in your html page and all your textboxes will become read only. simple...isn't it ;)
<script language="javascript" type="text/javascript">
window.onload = function()
{
var boxes = document.getElementsByTagName("INPUT");
for(var i = 0; i < boxes.length; i++)
{
if(boxes[i].type == 'text')
boxes[i].readOnly=true;
};
};

Trying out the new microsoft live writer
Windows Live Writer is a desktop application that makes it easy to publish rich content to your blog.
Publish to most major blog services
Including Windows Live Spaces, SharePoint, Wordpress, Blogger and many others. Don't have a blog yet? Writer will help you set one up!
Create a compelling blog easily
Insert photos and videos, maps, tags and lots of other cool content, all in a snap. Powerful editing features include tables, spell checker, and quick hyperlinks.
Preview before you post
Writer shows you what your blog entry will look like before you post it, using your blog's templates and formatting.
Compose your entries offline
Publish them later, when you get back online.
Looks good so far :) imagine posting blog entries right from your desktop without having to open your web browser. no no...microsoft didn't paid to write this entry but live writer really looks good. i will post a review sometimes later. below is the screenshot of using live writer while posting this very blog entry. it even has a "web preview" feature that lets you see the final output exactly as it will show up in your blog...cool indeed.

Guts of a Punjabi guy - joke
Bill Gates organized an enormous session to recruit a new Chairman for Microsoft Europe. 5000 candidates assembled in a large room. One candidate is Santa Singh an Indian (Punjabi) guy. Bill Gates thanked all the candidates for coming and asking those who do not know JAVA program to leave.2000 people leave the room. Santa says to himself, 'I do not know JAVA but I have nothing to lose if I stay. I'll give it a try' Bill Gates asked the candidates who never had experience of managing more than 100 people to leave. 2000 people leave the room. Santa says to himself ' I never managed anybody by myself but I have nothing to lose if I stay. What can happen to me?' So he stays. Then Bill Gates asked candidates who do not have management diplomas to leave. 500 people leave the room. Santa says to himself, 'I left school at 15 but what have I got to lose?' So he stays in the room. Lastly, Bill Gates asked the candidates who do not speak Serbo - Croat to leave. 498 people leave the room. Santa says to himself, ' I do not speak one word of Serbo - Croat but what do I have to lose?' So he stays and finds himself with one other candidate. Everyone else has gone. Bill Gates joined them and said 'Apparently you are the only two candidates who speak Serbo - Croat, so I'd now like to hear you have a conversation together in that language.' Calmly, Santa turns to the other candidate and says 'Hor Phaphe ki haal chaal?.' The other candidate answers ' O Vadiya veere, tu Sunna'
